How to Use the Yoast SEO Bulk Editor

As we continue our series on the Yoast SEO plugin for WordPress, we will now show you how to use to Bulk Editor. This Yoast tool allows you to update all Page/Post descriptions and titles in one place and can save time. First, we will show you how to bulk update Page and Post Titles, then Descriptions.

Using the Bulk Editor

  1. Log into your WordPress Dashboard.
  2. Click SEO then Tools in the navigation menu.

  3. Click the Bulk editor link on the Yoast SEO Tools page.

  4. You will then be on the Title tab of the Bulk Editor. Under the “New Yoast SEO Title” section enter your new Page or Post Titles.

  5. Click the Save all link to save your new site titles.

  6. Click the Description tab.

  7. You will then see all of your Pages and Posts listed. Enter your new descriptions below the New Yoast Meta Description field.

  8. Click one of the Save all links to update your descriptions.

  • I tried to use the Yoast bulk editor but it crashed my site just when clicking on the tag!

    It happenned 2 times: The first time I needed to reinitialise my VM, the second I took a snapshot of the VM. I did not try a third time…

    Would be great if someone has an idea why this happened. Thansk

    • Thanks for your comment. It would be good to have some more information about your VM stack, software versions, etc. There are potentially thousands of reasons why these crashes might be occurring. You may also want to check with the plugin developers or their WordPress support forum to see if other users have had similar issues.
