Magento 1.6 includes a backup tool that will backup your Magento database and regularly backing up your Magento web store is important. However, you do not need to keep multiple backups inside the Magento 1.6 Admin backend. We suggest regularly deleting old backups to keep your Magento 1.6 store clean and free of unused files. Deleting Magento database backups are done through your Magento Admin Panel.

  1. Log into your Magento Admin Backend
  2. Go to System ->> Tools ->> Backups
  3. magento_backup_1

  4. Click "Delete" next to the backup you want to delete
  5. magento_delete_backup
