309: How to add a Facebook “Like” button in Premium Web Builder

Social media such as Facebook can be an important method to gain traffic to your website. Adding a Facebook “like” button will allow your visitors to post a link on their Facebook wall that says they “like” your webpage. As their friends see that they “liked” your webpage, they can click on the link provided and be taken to your website. Adding a Facebook Like button is done through using the scripts module in Premium Web Builder. You must retrieve the code to display the button first.

Please keep in mind this adds a like button so your website's visitors can like your entire website. This will not add a button for your visitors to like a specific webpage within your website.

  • Go to http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
  • In Step 1 – Fill out the fields

    • PWB_facebook_1

    Url to Like This is a link to your website
    Send Button This setting is not available to use with an iframe
    Layout Style Choose the layout you like best
    Width Set the width of the iframe
    Show Faces Select the box to show others who liked your page
    Verb to Display Choose “like” or “recommend”
    Color Scheme Chooses either light or dark color scheme
    Font Choose a font to use
  • Click “Get code”
  • Click on “IFRAME” at the top

  • Copy the code in the box displayed

  • Now that you have the code copied, you’ll need to use the scripts module in Premium Web Builder to paste the code into your page. Once you are on the page you want to display the “like” button, drag the scripts module onto the page and follow the directions in our tutorial on using the scripts module in Premium Web Builder
