Hello Metro Sales,

Thanks for the question about changing your hosting service without "damage" - damage in reference to your search ranking.

First, we offer services for transferring sites and a guide to help you transfer successfully.  To ensure a smooth transition without loss in your search position, you will need to use 301 redirects.  301 redirects tell a search engine that there is a change in the URL.  Internet search engines understand that hosting services will change for websites, and redirects help maintain continuity without losing your ranking.

You should also make sure that the hosting service that you used in your older service is matched with equivalent or better hosting at the new location.  For example, if you run your website on a VPS server, you will not want to use a lower-performing hosting server at your new location. Performance is a key indicator for search engines, and lowering the host server performance may negatively affect your site.

I hope that helps to clarify the issue. Use 301 redirects and match or improve your hosting service to maintain your search engine position.  Additionally, I recommend reaching out to your members or viewers to make sure that they are aware of the change and the time it takes for you to complete your transition.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,

Arnel C.
