I am trying to add my email to Gmail as a client. I having trouble letting Gmail reach my email server. Is there a Firewall issue or something on that matter. Sometimes is says that my server is taking too much time to respond"

There was a problem connecting to mail.mydomain.org!

Hello! I'm new to InMotion Hosting.

My problem occurs when I try to add an email created by InMotion Hosting to my Gmail account. Everything was okay until I filled in my POP server with the Incoming Server, which is "mail.mydomain.org".

Here's how I arrived at this screen below:

1. I went into Email Accounts in cPanel and clicked on 🔧 Manage.

2. I then clicked on 📱 Connect Devices in the Configure section, which sent me to a new page titled Set Up Mail Client for "[email protected]". I kept this tab open for information related to my Secure SSL/TLS Settings.

3. I opened Gmail, went to Settings, and clicked on Accounts and Import. From the Check mail from other accounts section, I clicked Add a mail account and a new panel similar to the screen below.

4. I used the information (i.e. Incoming Server: mail.mydomain.org) to fill in the POP Server section.

5. I received the error message as follows:

How do I resolve this? I'm still new to this, so step-by-step solutions are really appreciated.

Thank you so much for your help! Please tell me if you need any other information.

Just to confirm, how far did you get in the process when following our guide on setting up Gmail as a POP3? If everything seems to be set up correctly, but it still does not work, I would suggest getting our 24/7 Technical Support team to help you check error logs to find out if there is a connection issue.
