My current website and blog are on WIX. I don't think they will let me transfer without them deleting everything. How can I leave it there and point it all to you? I want to start a blog in WordPress.

Hi Rayna! If Wix allows you to edit the DNS settings, you can try pointing the domain to our nameservers or changing the A Record to point to us. If you are unable to do so, you could always start an account with us, build your new site under a different domain name, and then change that site to use your old domain name when you are ready/transfer the registration. It can be a bit tricky changing the home and site_url on a WordPress site, so when you reach that point I would suggest submitting a verified ticket in AMP to our 24/7 Technical Support team and having them assist!

Thanks,Ronnie.  I have to check if they will allow me to edit the DNS settings and pointing - but they won't allow me to point to nameservers or they will take down the site.  I have just started an account with you and am waiting for the domain name to waltz in (7-14 days?????) from Bluehost(awful customer svc).  I am still having grief with starting a blog here because the domain name isn't in yet.  I"ve downloaded WP and the other thing that will help me with drag and drop (what I am used to) but can I start designing without a domain name????? Or should I just register a second domain name with you, which might take less time?  Can I have two domain names for the same website??

You an create a WordPress website using your temporary URL and change it later. Or if you don't want to deal with changes once the domain transfers, created the website using the intended domain, then edit your local computer's hosts file.

I recommend the hosts file option so you're not spending more money just to have something public now and still have to change the domain later.
