Tier status is based on the annualized eligible recurring charges across your account, covering the server subscription and every product subscription attached to it. Billable cPanel accounts inside your account count toward that total, so you are credited for the full picture rather than a single line item.

Billing term matters here. A server billed at $4,800 on a two-year term represents roughly $2,400 in annual recurring revenue, not $4,800 in a single year. That trips up a lot of agencies comparing quotes.

Agency partners earn commissions when referred clients purchase hosting through their unique referral link. Commissions are paid for at least the first 12 months of a customer’s subscription, with longer-term plans earning commissions across their full term. Earnings are automatically tracked based on the purchase, with no manual follow-up required. Partners can also view referral activity, commission details, and performance insights through their partner dashboard.

Referral commissions apply to eligible new purchases attributed to your agency through your partner referral link or another approved attribution process. Clients living inside your existing server do not quality for commissions unless they purchase new hosting. The new account can be associated with your agency and counted toward your revenue under management.

Client accounts already hosted with InMotion before you joined can be claimed and counted toward your Agency Partner Program tier, but they do not generate commission or partner discounts. Those apply to new eligible purchases made through your referral link.
Claiming still matters. Your tier determines your commission rate, your discount percentage, and which program benefits you have access to, so connecting the portfolio you already have here can move you up a tier immediately.

No. There is no minimum, no contract, and no requirement to move anything. Most partners start with one project, usually a new client or a site that already needs to move for other reasons, and expand from there as it makes sense.

Plenty of agencies keep clients spread across providers, and that is fine. The program works with whatever portion of your portfolio you bring.

Yes. Website migrations are included free at every plan level, including the Member tier, and can be completed with zero downtime to your websites.
