Forwaded Address Issues

I have set up an older employee's email to be forwarded to me but that person is still receiving emails. Seems to forward to me and her? Any ideas?

Thank you for contacting us regarding issues with a forwarding email address. Yes, when you set up an email forwarder it will send a copy of incoming messages to the forwarding address, and both mailboxes will receive the email. There are a couple options you can utilize to resolve this:

  1. Change their email password, so they no longer have access. You do not need to know their original password to change it in cPanel. This allows you to still access the inbox and respond from the email address if necessary.
  2. Delete the email account and leave the forwarder. This would forward all incoming emails and not store them in their inbox.
