How to delete a domain name?

I recently purchased a new domain name via InMotion Hosting, and no longer will use my old one. How do I "delete" my original one, as I have no use for it?

Deleting a domain name is more simple than registering, but before deleting you might read rule/restriction carefully. Every domain registrars like https://domainia.com/faq or else possess certain rules and parameter those help them to serve better. Anyways you can follow these steps to delete account:

• Lon in to control panel of your account.
• Now go to “manage domain” section and tick the domain name you want to delete.
• Finally click on delete button. It might ask for your confirmation before finally deleting, but that’s not the issue at all.

Thanks for the question. Since you have posted this question anonymously, we are unable to check WHERE you have registered the original domain name. If you are changing the domain name that was used to create your account, then you will need to request a change of main domain. This updates the domain listed for your account.

In order to DELETE a domain, you would need to first determine if the domain was registered through InMotion Hosting or not. If it was registered through us, then you can send a ticket through AMP requesting that the domain be immediately deleted from internet.

If you did not register the domain with InMotion Hosting, then you will need to contact the domain registrar with whom you purchased the domain, then request that they delete it. You should only do this after you domain has been changed on the site that you are hosting with us.
