Need Help Disabling Plugin on WordPress.org Site

Hello,

I have run into a problem where the Google reCAPTCHA plugin which I had activated on my WordPress.org site thetempusmagazine.com (hosted with inmotionhosting) is preventing login into the admin dashboard. I would use FTP through FileZilla to remove the plugin, but unfortunately, since I am an admin on the site and not the owner, I don't have the FTP credentials. Would it be possible to remove the plugin using another method that does not require credentials? Can I be provided with the email address that thetempusmagazine.com is registered under?

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Hello,

Sorry, you're having problems with the plugin deactivation.  Log in to your cPanel (depending on your hosting type) or access your files without having to go through the WordPress back end.

If you want to disable ALL of the plugins at once then rename the plugins folder located in the wp-content folder.

If you want to disable only one plugin, then go into the plugins folder, find the plugin that's giving you the problem and rename only that folder.

This folder is normally in your website installation folder.  If you're using a cPanel-based hosting account, then the default folder for a website installation is PUBLIC_HTML.

You can also find these instructions in this article:  https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/wordpress/disable-wordpress-plugins/.

If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.

Kindest Regards,
