Why do I get Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server?
I am using mail.mydomain.com (where mydomain is my actual domain) for both the incoming and outgoing mail servers. I also configured it to indicate that my outgoing server requires authentication and to use the same settings as my incoming server.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hi dewill, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. Do you get an error message when trying to send emails? Also, what port are you using for Outgoing mail? If you are using port 25 it's likely your ISP is blocking it. Doeble check yoru email settings that they match one of the below connection types. Non SSL configuration Incoming Server: mail.your-domain.com SSL configuration Incoming Server: secure##.inmotionhosting.com Here's an article outlining what to do to troubleshoot your issue: If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
