What Is Softaculous?
Softaculous is an auto-installer that lives inside your cPanel account. Select an application, enter a few details like your domain and admin credentials, click install, and your application is live. The entire process takes under two minutes for most apps.
Beyond installation, Softaculous handles ongoing maintenance tasks that most website owners overlook. You can update applications to the latest version, create backups before making changes, restore a previous version if something breaks, and remove applications cleanly without leaving behind stray database tables or configuration files.
