Hi,
I added the google anlytics code as per "Adding the Google Analytics code to OpenCart" section, but it appears in the top left hand of web page as text! Should it do this? The website is www.ukstoreonline.co.uk if you wish to see this.
Thank You

Hi, I went to http://www.yoursite.com/vqmod/install, of course using my URL!, and got and ok message, in fact i tried again and it said VQMOD already . I unzipped googleecommerce v1.1.1 OpenCart 1.5.x.zip on desktop and uploaded to \public_html folder but cant see it in opencart modules. I am using a Calipso theme will this make a difference?

Hello Elsmore1,

Sorry to hear of your problems with Google Analytics. The article will need to be updated. The Google add-on is no longer an entry in the latest version of OpenCart 1.5.4. You can however find it in the extensions list provided by Open Cart extensions extensions page.

Thank you, I seemed to install vqmod ok as I got a confirmed message but cannot see the ecommerce module when I have extracted it in \public_html folder?

Hi Elsmore1,

Can you indicate which module you downloaded to load? If you were simply trying to load VQmod before proceeding, then review the instructions in this reply. If you overwrote the folders with the vqmod folders, then it's possible that you need to reload Opencart fix the issue.

When you extract vqmod it's best to use a FTP client to update the folders on the server. There should only be certain specific files that update the existing folders in your OpenCart installation. Sorry for the confusion! I'll list it step-by-step (using FTP):

1) Download the VQMod installation file (zipped)
2) Uncompress the zipped file ON your desktop
3) use an FTP client to transfer the updated files into the OpenCart installation

Hopefully this helps to explain it (we also have a complete installation article here).

Please let us know if you're still having problems after getting everything loaded!

Regards,

Arnel C.

Hello elsmore1,

As per the official google ecommerce installation guide
Log in to the admin control panel and click on:
Extensions > Modules > Ecommerce Tracking > Install

If you are not seeing the module listed, make sure you have uploaded the file to the root of your OpenCart installation. The public_html folder is correct if that is where your OpenCart is installed.

If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below.
Thank you,

-John-Paul
