Changing the root for each add-on domain
Category: General Server Setup
I'm trying to figure out how you can change the root for each add-on domain to be at the same level as the primary public_html. To keep visitors from being able to get to my add on domain from my primary domain.

Hi albatross, Thanks for posting your question. I'm more than happy to assist you. You can specify the root folder when you set up the add-on domain in cpanel. Just change the path by removing the /public_html out of the path. This will place the folder at the same level as the public_html folder. While I've never done this for an add-on domain this is how I set up my subdomains and it works fine. If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S |
