cpanel file manager text editor encoding

I reaqd in a css file created by WordPress and then save it in a new directory. There are indications that the file is nolonger pure utf8

Hello Bej,

When using the text editor in the File manager, there is an encoding setting in the upper menu area of the screen. You can select your encoding from that dropdown.
