Site shows in IE but not in Firefox

I've searched for this answer in the help files, but I don't see it. When I type in the URL into Internet Explorer, I can immediately see the main page. When I type the URL into Firefox, I get the "Website coming soon!" screen. To see the site, I have to append /Index.html. What do I need to edit in my html code so that I can access the site without typing the /Index.html? All files are in the public/html folder.

Hello ANCTam,

As you are on a Linux server, capitaliztion is very important. Index.html (with a capital I) is not recognized as a default homepage for the server where index.html (lowercase) is recognized. I have altered a configuration file so that it recognizes your Index.html as well. This way you do not have to make any changes.

As for why IE shows it on your computer, it must be a cached copy (snapshot from a previous visit when it worked) as I tried it from 6 different browsers and all showed the same Coming Soon page. I am, however, now showing the corrected version, so you should now see that on Firefox.

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.
