I've been a customer of inmotion for more than a decade. My domain name is w2agz.com. Within the last 10 days several friends/family have told me their emails are being rejected as spam???

Why am I being rejected as spam?

Hi! Administering your mail and keeping in from being marked as spam is a process that requires you and your mail administrator to constantly monitor what kind of email you are sending and how much you are sending it. If you're sending to certain large mail providers and recipients are frequently marking your mail as spam, or just not reading it, the security algorithms used by those mail providers may eventually end up marking your mail as spam. 


This could be caused by something innocuous like missing the plaintext equivalent when sending an HTML email, or sending a document like an Excel sheet with a macro that accidentally reads as something malicious. 

As general tips, be sure to check some common spam blacklists and make sure your domain has not been added to one of them. If this has occurred, the specific blacklist will usually have instructions on how to proceed with 'de-listing' your domain. 

Be sure that you have a correct SPF record for your site. These days, major mail providers all but require a strong DMARC record as well, so please make sure that is in place. If you are having trouble sending to specific email providers, check to see if they offer resources or guidelines on acceptable sending policy-- there may be a platform specific rule you will need to adapt to. 

That said, to accept or reject an email message is ultimately up to the receiving server. If you are able to, try reaching out to the administrator of one of the servers and see if you can learn more. Most servers have anti-spam software in place, and it's possible something as innocuous as a few particular words (or even punctuation choices!) can cause something to be labelled as spam.
