Email add and remove scripting

  • Answered
I have a customer who would like to manage their own email accounts. I do not want to give them permission to manage anything else. On a previous hosting service I was able to write a script and execute it through a web page, but it seems the commands are blocked on this service. Is there anyway to accomplish this?

Thanks for the question about managing email accounts. If you are on a shared hosting account (business level account), there is no way to provide separate access to manage email accounts short of using a custom program for that very purpose. cPanel is used to provide the interface for your web server, and it can be accessed through individual accounts in re-seller, VPS, and dedicated server accounts. However, access to the email accounts also provides full access to the server that you may not want to provide the user. If you have root access to these server types, you can customize what the user has available in the cPanel and that may suit your needs.

I hope this helps to answer your question. We unfortunately cannot provide coding level support to resolve your question. If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
