Unable to update WordPress version on VPS

hi I can not update the word press installed on my vps. when ever I try to update I get an error message. thanks for help.

Hello, Sorry for the problem with updating WordPress on your server. I was able to run the same type of update on another VPS, so why it's not working on your VPS is an issue that needs further investigation. Can you please provide us URL for the WordPress site you're trying to update? Also, have you set permissions for the files of your WordPress installation?
