Hello and sorry about your issue. General ways to improve your website performance include Cloudflare, Gzip compression in your .htaccess file, and optimization plugins if you're using a CMS such as OpenCart and WordPress. If you provide more specific information, we'll be happy to assist more.

GTMetrix recommends serving images at desired resolution and compressing larger images. Resizing images via CSS and serving larger images causes higher server load. This is not something we can help with directly since it involves changing your images and site code. There are WordPress plugins that can help with image compression as well.

Hello Tabish, Thank you for your question. I performed a performance scan on your website, and it got a low score. I have emailed you a link to this scan so you can review the coding recommendations. Here is a link to another helpful article in our support center titled "Why is my server slow / how do I run a ping and tracert test?" Also, in a shared hosting environment, you can be affected by other users, similar to living in an apartment complex. Typically, if someone is abusing the server's resources they are dealt with quickly by the System Administrators. If you have any further questions, feel free to post them below, or contact live Tech Support. They are available 24/7 via: Email: [email protected] Phone: 888-321-HOST (4678) 757-416-6575 (Intl.) & Chat (there is a link on the top right). Thank you, -John-Paul

Thank you for your question SandyW! Sorry to hear about the performance problem with your second site. Usually when one site is working fine and another site is slow on the same server, its due to some optimization issues. To see how your website performs please visit gtmetrix.com. The following url is a direct link to your sites performance. http://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.shop.kilofly.com/e0ionQnk Here is a link to our general articles on optimizing a website. Hello redbeanrealty, In testing the site I am seeing load times in the 3 second range. While not super fast, it is not too slow. What timeframes are you seeing when visiting the site? Also, I see you are on a VPS. What type of changes, if any, have you made recently? Lastly, you may want to have your developer check your site on a third party efficiency evaluation tool, such as GTMetrix.com. This can be very helpful for finding areas of improvement to speed up your site. I have included the tools evaluation of your site here for reference. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you. Best Regards, Scott M

Hello visittemplarios,

In looking at the timeline of a connection with your site, there are 63 different calls made to bring the site up. There are two calls to the pt-pt folder that take upwards of 26 seconds together. The next longest call times are with the loading of the images for the slideshow.

You can use online tools to help find timelines like these as well as suggestions to increase your site speed. One such website is Gtmetrix.com

I hope this answers your question. If you have any more questions or information specific to the issue please leave a comment below so we can further assist you.

Best Regards,

Hi habitat2050, I just wanted to touch base to see if you've been able to make any progress on this issue? Which pages specifically are slow? You stated that your website is highdotstudios.com/blog. Is your entire site loading slowly for you, or is it only certain pages? If certain pages, which ones? Try testing the default theme A common troubleshooting step with WordPress is to switch to the default theme and test again. Please try changing to the default WordPress theme, and let us know if this resolves the slow issues. If it does, then it may be a problem with the theme you are using. Try disabling any plugins Another common reason for slow WordPress sites is a bad plugin. You may want to disable all your plugins to see if one of them are causing the issue. If disabling the plugins resolves the issue, enable them one by one again until you find the one that causes the issue. Flickr API I also noticed that http://www.highdotstudios.com/portfolio/gallery.php has quite a few images loading on it, and from my status bar I see that it is waiting on a response from api.flickr.com. If this is the page with the issue, the numerous calls to flickr may be apart of the problem. Connection issues / latency As Tim mentioned, the site was (and still is) loading rather quickly for us. If you're still having the problem, it could be with a connection issue. Running a ping and traceroute test is the best way to diagnose any connection issues. As you can see, there can be numerous items that can be causing the problem. I hope we've been able to point you in the right direction. Feel free to post in the comments with any additional information and we'll be more than happy to assist. Thanks, - Brad

Hi habitat2050, Thanks for posting your question. I'm sorry you are having issues with load times. I have loaded the link that you have provided and it loaded without delay for me. I would suggest doing a ping/ traceroute test to determine if there's any latency in your routing. Here's a link with instructions on how to perform those tests: How to run a ping and traceroute test Once you have ran the tests, our support department will need to review them further. To do so, email [email protected] If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thank you! Tim S.
