All E-mail Accounts Server Timeout when connecting?

Since this morning we've had e-mail issues at first two of the accounts couldn't send any e-mail, but now all e-mail account have stopped receiving and sending mail.

Whenever we try we get this message "Sending of message failed.
The message could not be sent because the connection to SMTP server timed out. "

I've checked our servers and network programs can't figure out what's wrong.
Hello GJGeerman, Thank you for your question. Your server was affected by a DDOS attack yesterday, which has slowed down at this time. You should be able to access your email now, if not, try restarting Thunderbird. We appreciate your patience while we resolve this attack, and it should be completely mitigated soon.
