Why is WebsiteDefender no longer working on my site?
I am on a shared server, and I have been using a thing called WebsiteDefender (www.websitedefender.com). Part of what it does involves scanning your website to see if any malware has been installed, etc. I installed it about a month ago and it worked fine, but it stopped working on August 31st. As far as I know, I didn't do anything that interfered with it, so there must have been some update to the server's security that inadvertently blocked WebsiteDefender, and so now when the server at WebsiteDefender tries to run the scan, it gets an unexpected response from the server I am on. At least that is what I think is happening.
Was there something changed at that time that caused this, and would it be possible to make it so WebsiteDefender works agian? Or should I just forget it? :-)

There have been no major upgrades to the servers that would affect that to our knowledge. Sometimes, however, rule changes to the mod_security can be added without our knowledge and this can cause an issue with programs at times. The only way to test that for certain would be to disable that and see if the program runs then.
Other than that, we can check against any error messages you are getting and see if that helps us identify the issue for you.
