ImageMagic version 6.7.2 is outdated

Hello,
I have 'koken' installed for publishing for photos.
Koken need an image processor library to convert/scale uploaded images. Converting images and keeping quality and speed high is fundamental to koken installation
On the shared inmotionhosting server, there are 2 libraries:
1) GD bundled (2.1.0 compatible) = the quality of converted images is poor for a photographic web site.
2) ImageMagick 6.7.2 -> this version is outdated = year 2011 if I am not wrong. When you clear and then rebuild the servers image cache, the inmotionhosting shared server (memory and number of processes) get stuck.
The current ImageMagick version = 6.9.3-8 dated on 2016-04-11. Is it possible to replace the older version 6.7.2 of ImageMagick with a recent version?
Alternatively, could you please install GraphicsMagick on the shared server?
Thank you for you support.

Hello François, Thank you for your question regarding ImageMagick. Unfortunately seeing how it is a shared server and it will affect everything, they tend to keep the software on cPanel compatible versions. If you were to move to a VPS you could have these software installed with no problem. However if you would like to suggest the update and new software installation the first step of the process would be for you to contact our support team and they would escalate it from there.
