cannot make vqmod to work

I have tried twice with filezilla to install vqmod following the instructions in (https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/edu/opencart/308-installing-vqmod-on-opencart).
1) I do not get the success message in step 4 when I go to http://www.yoursite.com/vqmod/install.
2) I do not have new "vq" files in the "vqmod/vqcache" folder in step 7.
Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance

It sounds like you did not properly install it. I have tested the instructions in the article and they work flawlessly. Be sure that you downloaded the correct version of the file in which if you are using it with OpenCart, be sure that you downloaded the OpenCart version and not the standalone version. From this file, you will have a folder inside the zip file called vqmod. Simply place the entire folder inside the root directory of your OpenCart installation and visit http://example.com/vqmod/install.
