E-Mail issues with non hosted domains

We use GoDaddy as our registrar. We have multiple domains. Only some of our domains use our VPS for e-mail, the others use Google Mail. The DNS entries at GoDaddy are properly directed to either Google or IMH/VPS for e-mail.
When I send an e-mail from Outlook, using IMAP to out VPS, all is well unless I send it to another domain which we own AND which does not use IMH/VPS for mail. If I connect to an outside (meaning outside IMH) e-mail address and send, there are no issues.
It seems that by being IN the IMH domain, the system assumes, for some reason, that the other domains are all local, despite what the authoritative DNS reports.

Hello ArkRoyal, This is common where an email is being sent from a domain on a server to another domain on the server that uses alternative mail options. The fix is very quick and easy. Use the steps in the following article for each domain that uses remote mail routing: Setting domain MX records to remote settings in cPanel With the current settings, the server is set to attempt local delivery first, so it never checks for alternative mail routing as set at the registrar. By setting it to remote, it will look outside the server first and find the correct mail routing. This should take care of the issue for you. If you have any other issues, please do not hesitate to contact us again! Best Regards, Scott M
