I get an order.....what now?

I am getting to the point where I am going to launch the site this week but I have a question that may end up being the most stupid one of the day, but I must ask anyway.
So a customer places an order. I will hear back from Authorize.net that a sale occurred and that the credit card went through.
But, what about the OpenCart site itself? Do I get an alert that an order is pending? How does Open Cart alert me that order/orders are pending?
Right now I am in the midst of trying to solve a problem with reports. I AM RECEIVING NO REPORTS AT ALL. NO ORDERS, NO NOTHING. That is the subject of another question that we are working on together.
So, again back to my question. How does Open Cart tell me that an order is pending?

You can set the ability to receive an email when a customer places a new order. That is done by going to System -> Settings -> Edit -> Mail. From there, you will find the New Order Alert Mail option. Set that to Yes and it will email you whenever a new order is placed.
