I am in the AMP but cannot get into CPanel. Why is the password different ?

Thank you for your question GTUSA! Sorry for the confusion with the cPanel and AMP passwords. The AMP (Account management panel) password is for your personal account information. The cPanel is for the hosting access. Many people have developers that they need to give access to the cPanel hosting account to create the website. This was separated out to prevent Web developers from accessing the account owners information. You can log in the cpanel from AMP or without accessing AMP. Please see the following link.
