Timeout when trying to use FTP to upload

I purchased netties-mmm.com from Network Solutions, but am using InMotion Hosting for the website. I just attempted to FTP in to upload my website and got a timeout. When I checked the site itself, it was pointed to a blank/generic website on Network Solutions, not you guys. How do I get this fixed?

Thanks in advance,

Scott

Hello ScooterX,

Currently, this is the abbreviated whois information for the domain of netties-mmm.com:

Domain details for netties-mmm.com from http://www.networksolutions.com/en_US/
Registrar: NETWORK SOLUTIONS, LLC.
Status: clientTransferProhibited
Created: 2012-05-10
Changed: 2012-05-10
Expires: 2013-05-10
Admin email: [email protected]
Name server: ns27.worldnic.com 205.178.190.14
Name server: ns28.worldnic.com 206.188.198.14

The domain name servers are NOT pointed to Inmotion Hosting's servers. If you wish to use our hosting service, then you will need to change the name servers to:

NS.INMOTIONHOSTING.COM - ip 74.124.210.242
NS2.INMOTIONHOSTING.COM - ip 66.117.7.112

A name server change of this nature will keep the domain at the same domain registrar (Network Solutions), but will point the name to a different hosting server. This change is NOT instantaneous. It requires up to 24 hours for what we call propagation time to complete.

You will need to change the name servers at your domain registrar - since we have no control over it - here at InMotion Hosting. Once the name servers have changed, you will be to use the domain name for FTP, and it will point to the correct servers.

IF you want to use FTP to move the files here, you may still do so, but you must change your FTP settings. You cannot use the domain name until it is pointed to us, but you can use the direct server settings. I'll list them here:

biz123.inmotionhosting.com
user name = nettie6
password = control panel password (you need to fill this in with your password - you can set the Control Panel password in the Account Management Panel (AMP)).

If you have any further questions, leave a comment at the bottom of the page.
