Unable to connect to IMAP/Error saving to Sent

We (three users on LAN) started receiving the error "Unable to connect to your IMAP server. You may have exceeded the maximium number of cached connections..." along with "There was an error saving your message to Sent.Retry?" each time we send a message.
All are PCs using Thunderbird and, to the best of my knowledge, nothing here was changed.
It just started yesterday.
Changing the max server connections in T-Bird to 1 or 2 doesn't help.
Any ideas?

Hi JMoberg, Thanks for contacting us. I'm more than happy to assist you today. I've looked over the server logs and see various IMAP connections. I'd like a bit more information so I can help you troubleshoot this further for you. Can you provide me the IP address you are connecting from? To determine your IP address you can go to our IP Check Tool. Also, it would be helpful if you can tell me which email accounts are having the problem. Are all accounts having the issue or just specific ones? Is the problem constant or intermittent? Also, are you able to view emails but not send them? Any further information you can provide would be helpful! If you need further assistance please feel free to contact us. Thanks! Tim S
