Hi,
What is the equivalent to the "Turn on less secure app access" (from gmail) in Cpanel email program ... I need to send e-mails to my specialized software and for it to work I had to use that feature from gmail. I cannot figure out what to do for it to work with the cpanel email.

Chances are, the software is set up similar to setting up a mail client. Take a look at your email settings and try using those to connect.
One piece of advice that may help: try connecting based on your server name instead of your domain name. The server will have a 'hostname' which will look like secure1234.inmotionhosting.com for most accounts, and secure1234.servconfig.com for reseller accounts. '1234' will be replaced by whatever the number of your server is.
Usually, software that has trouble connecting to something like mail.yourdomainname.com will readily connect when you use a server name!
