Error creating an email account

Something appears to have gone wrong when I attempted to create an email address in cPanel (obscured name but looks like [email protected]). The address appears to be created and shows up in the list of addresses BUT when I try to access to the email I get "Security token missing" and when I try to change the password it says "(XID8jafws) You do not have an email account [email protected]" Would love some help solving this problem...can provide screenshots if that helps. Here is what happens when I try to email the address: The mail system : host xxxcobbsblog.com[192.249.122.149] said: 550 No Such User Here (in reply to RCPT TO command) Final-Recipient: rfc822; [email protected] Original-Recipient: rfc822;[email protected] Action: failed Status: 5.0.0 Remote-MTA: dns; cobbsblog.com Diagnostic-Code: smtp; 550 No Such User Here And when I try to create a new email address, e.g. [email protected], I get: Error: Unable to safely open file. Thanks in advance for any assitance you can render...Stephen

Hello Stephen, Thank you for your question regarding non-appearance of email accounts and security token errors. It is possible there is a problem with how cPanel is generating the security tokens. If you are in a VPS/Dedicated account, you can try unchecking the security token option in WHM under Tweak Settings. However, if you are in Business or Reseller hosting, then I advise contacting our Live Support team to replicate the issue, get verification, and see if they can find the cause. Best, Christopher M.
