Attempting to transfer a couple of domains from 1and1 to InMotion

I have two domains currently with 1and1 that I need to transfer to InMotion. A little over a week ago, I updated the admin contact info at 1and1 and also unlocked both domains and made sure that privacy was turned off. I used InMotion's "Transfer a domain" tab and the beginner's step-thru process. I tried yesterday and again today (08/11/16) to do the first step which attempts to get the WhoIs information for my domains and I receive an error that states that my domain is not available for transfer because the utility cannot get the WhoIs information for my domains. I tried a whois lookup from the ICANN site and was able to get the whois info. Not sure how to solve this. Am I missing a step? Do I need to repoint the name servers before I attempt to transfer the domains, or is that even the issue? One of the domains is called *****.com. Any suggestions?

Hello LeeMWentz, Thank you for your question regarding issues transferring a domain. Sorry for the trouble you are experiencing. I verified there is currently a known issue we are working to resolve, but we can still initiate/complete a domain transfer manually. Please contact our Live Support team so they can help you get the transfer started. Thank you, John-Paul
