wordpress session expires immediately

  • Answered
When using wp-admin to make appearance changes, I am asked to login to WP, I get successfully logged in, then am asked to login again, and this repeats forever.

Sorry for the problem with the login session issues. We spent a long while researching this in order to find the source of the problem. What we have discovered is that one of your plugins/themes had created transient entries in your wp_options table that is causing the session to appear like it's expired. Whenever we tested with a blank databse, this issue did not occur. We tested with NO plugins, no extra themes and were able to duplicate the issues. There are two ways to resolve this - one completely delete and re-install your WordPress installation (since you're just starting), or go into the database and delete the transient entries. I would suggest re-installing WordPress since you're basically starting. This will also allow you to keep the installation clean. I had noticed many other files in there that didn't belong to the WordPress installation.

Apologies again for the problems with the login error! I hope this helps to resolve the issue that you've been facing. If you have any further questions, please let us know.
