Not receiving emails notifications

Hello,
I have a wordpress blog site (StoneAthleticMedicine.com) and when I get new followers, comments, or someone attempts to contact me using a contact form, I am not getting email notifications. I've tried multiple email address (gmail, yahoo, and the email associated with my website). I have checked spam folders and nothing is getting delivered. I sent emails to WordPress support forums as well as JetPack. Both have checked and both said my setting are correct. I recently received this feedback from JetPack support who told me to contact there backend shows emails are being sent out.

They suggested maybe this is an issue or something that my web hosting provider could identify. Could you shed any light on this. I am losing a lot of business.

Do you remember installing anything new?
Did you update to the security fix (Wordpress 3.9.2)?
How long ago did this happen (When did you notice this incident was happening)?

I want to get a diagnostic of this issue, so i may submit a bug report or provide a patch if necessary.
If your issue was resolved then disregard this message.

Hello,

After almost two hours of testing, I can certainly say that it is not the server that is having the issue. I tested by adding a fresh wordpress install to your account under a 'test' subfolder. I made sure it had the same 4 plugins you are using and the same theme.

When testing comments they did not send emails. I watched the server logs and there were no emails even being sent to the email queue to go out. This is the same behavior I observed when testing your live site.

I disabled all plugins on the test site and tested again with the comments. The emails were then being sent out. I then went back and tested each plugin by activating them one by one and testing the comments. Whenever I had the Akismet plugin running, it did not work. I then enabled all other plugins except the Akismet and it did successfully send emails. Once again, when activating the Akismet plugin, it stopped working.

I did not experience the same with your plugins, however. When deactivating Akismet, the email was still never sent from WordPress to the server. The test was unable to find the exact cause of your issue, but it did rule out the server as a factor. There is something in your account that is preventing the sending of the email, though everything looks correct.

The only thing I can say for sure is that I have ruled out the server or your specific account. The only thing left is that there is something within the actual WordPress application that is causing the issue.

Did you activate anything or make any changes in your site prior to the behavior?

Kindest Regards,
Scott M
