WP Page Access for Students (Admin creates/control logins)
I have students that need to access just one page of my WP site: I want to be able to manage their user accounts (create/provide them with logins and passwords) and give them access to a specific page only once they are logged in. I have been trying a few plugins but nearly ended up breaking my WP site... I do not need to sell anything therefore Membership plugins that allow anyone to register and access pages/products do not fit the purpose. I have tried the following plugins: Members, Untimate Member, Paid Membership Pro... I am going to give a try to WP-Members: Membership Framework and User Access Manager... Has anyone in the community had the same challenge and found a solutions/suitable plugin? Thank you ;)
Sorry for the problem with restricting page content on your WordPress site. I think that you are approaching it the correct way - try to find a plugin that works. I apologize but the last time I myself looked into this issue was years ago and I do not remember the plugin (and it may be out-of-date). This is a subject that has many published solutions. However, I would keep trying only the most recently updated and well-rated solutions. If you can get attention from the developer to help you with the issue, that is also a big plus. If anyone reading these posts in the community can help with a comment on this issue, it would also be appreciated. Your experiences and advice on the issue are much appreciated!
One quick note - as you try the different plugins - make sure that you keep a current backup of your WordPress site before you add the plugin so that you can quickly recover if there are any problems.
