Remove /wp from main domain for WordPress site

Hi


I am trying to point make my website .com.au not .com.au/wp.


I am following these directions found here...Using a pre-existing subdirectory install

I have copied the index file.php file to the public file.


I cannot see the htaccess file, and I dont have all the information to use filezilla, to use it in here.


I have DNS pointing correctly. I have set up wordpress are suggested.


I feel this is really complicated for something really simple, but unsure where I am going wrong.


I am lost from here.

Hello Tennille, Thank you for contacting us about moving your WordPress installation. It sounds like you are doing everything right and you're following a good guide. However, you may be having trouble finding the .htaccess file because it is hidden. If you're using the cPanel File Manager, make sure choose to Show Hidden Files. Best, Christopher M.
