Subcategory image sizes change

Guys,
As you know, default 1.6.14 takes the subcategory images which appear on a main category page and makes them very small 125x125. This looks terrible. I changes the image size to 250x150 and it will not change.
I have been looking in .css and also the cache files. I can't get the image size to change.

Please advise
