I have several domain names that are registered with another Hosting Company, but there is no content behind those names. How do I create content here and point those domain names to the hosted Wordpress platforms I am building here?
How would you rate the customer service you received?

Hello Ceda,
Thanks for you question about creating content pointing the domain names to this location. Your answer is really a two parter:
1. Changing the domain name servers
Even if you register a domain with another domain registrar, it's possible to use that domain on your host after pointing the domain name to your hosting service. For example, the name servers might be ns1.someregistration.com and ns2.someregistraton.com. You would need to use your domain registrar's interface to change the name servers to InMotion's name servers.
2. Installing WordPress
You can install WordPress at InMotion using Softculous, then develop the site here. You would use the domain names that you pointed to InMotion for the WordPress installation. You can then install a maintenance mode plugin to prevent outside access to the site. Then when you're done you can simply turn off maintenance mode, and the site is published with the correct domain name!
If you've already started building content at a different location, I recommend using a plugin like Total Upkeep. Add this plugin to the site where you're creating your WordPress site content. Then when you're done, simply use the export and import feature to migrate the site from one place to another. Total UpKeep allows you to change the domain when restoring. When you're migrating, you would create a new WordPress install at the location where you want to host the WordPress site, then add the plugin. You can then restore the backup created at the older location.
If you're just wanting to move content from a Post or Page, I recommend that you do it this way:
This is basically how I create content before publishing it for our own Support Center. It allows me to create the content without being in the production environment. I using WordPress version 5.4.1.
I hope this helps! If you have any further questions or comments, please let us know.
Kindest Regards,
Arnel C.
