Open Cart Wizards,

This ends up being the most important question I have asked you. I am at the point where I am trying to get the shipping modules to work.

So far I managed to get the UPS module to work and tested it. I however, am not going to use UPS because they are too expensive.

I am going to use FEDEX and USPS. Some research I have done turned up that there has been a massive number of problems with these two modules. At the time of this writing I have not yet been able to get the USPS module to work.

Most recently the developer of Open Cart is trying to sell everyone a new extension for USPS for $40.00 claiming that the new API from USPS was apparently not supported by older versions of Open Cart including maybe my version which is pretty much up to date.

You folks must have dealt with this issue. What do I need to know about the USPS and FEDEX modules?

r,

Simon

UPDATE

Would it be easier to just set up weight based rates and worry about the shipping on my end?

Hello simonbk,

In our testing, we basically go through the setup, but do not have a USPS account to test through a full transaction.

It seems since the API changed, the mod writers do not want to make a free version.

It may be easier to use the weight based rates if you do not wish to purchase the new USPS mod.

Best Regards,
Scott M
