With InMotion Central, it\u2019s easy to collaborate on website builds by creating Teams. Teams can be assigned to Projects where you can add members and give them permission to access the areas they are working on. This guide will show you how to create and manage teams with Central.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Create a Team<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
    \n
  1. Log in to InMotion Central<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Click Teams<\/strong> in the main menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click + Create Team<\/strong> in the top right corner.

  4. You can now enter the following information for your new team and click the Create<\/strong> Team<\/strong> button.

    Option<\/th> Description<\/th> <\/tr> <\/thead>
    Team Name<\/td> Enter a name for your team that will help identify its purpose.<\/td> <\/tr>
    Website<\/td> Put the address for your website here, such as: www.inmotionhosting.com<\/td> <\/tr>
    Contact Email<\/td> We recommend entering a team or department email address here, as ticket updates and deployment notifications will be sent to that address.<\/td> <\/tr>
    Billing Email<\/td> This field is not required. If you don\u2019t enter an email address here, bill items will be sent to the Contact Email<\/em>.<\/td> <\/tr> <\/tbody> <\/table><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    After you have created at least one team, accessing the Teams<\/strong> page will show you a list of all your teams. You\u2019ll see your team name, a note about billing, your role within the team, and an action button for additional options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When a team is initially created, you may see \u201cInactive<\/em>\u201d listed under billing. This means the team doesn\u2019t have any billing\/credit card data on file, and you can click the Inactive link to add a card to file.<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Managing Teams<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Now that you have teams set up, follow these steps to view or manage the profile, members, requests, billing, subscriptions, and receipts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Team Management Options<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    In this section, we will show you how to access and go over the team management options.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Log in to InMotion Central<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Click Teams<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Click the action button next to the team you want to work with and choose the Profile<\/strong> option.

      We will now review all the available areas you can use to manage your teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Notifications<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      Get news about your Account, new releases, and important updates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Subscriptions<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      If this team has purchased any addons, upgrades, or subscriptions<\/a> they will be listed here. For more information see our full guide on Managing Team Subscriptions and Receipts<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Support Requests<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

      View and submit support requests, get updates on replies, and review previous tickets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      How to Invite a Team Member<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      1. Log in to InMotion Central<\/a> and click Teams<\/strong> in the main menu.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Next to the team you want to invite someone to, click the action button and choose Members<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click the Add Team Members<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Enter the email address for the user you want to add to the team, then click the Send Invite<\/strong> button.

        After you send the invite, you\u2019ll be taken back to the Members<\/em> page. You\u2019ll see the email address you invited, along with the invite status and when it expires. By default, the new team member\u2019s role will be set to \u201cMember<\/em>\u201d.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. You can click the option button to change a team member\u2019s permissions<\/em> (team role), resend<\/em> the invite, or revoke<\/em> an invite by clicking the cog wheel next to it.
        NOTE:<\/strong> The following steps must be completed by the new team member.<\/div><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      6. In the email you received, click Accept Invite<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      7. To sign in with your email, fill out your name and email address, then click Continue With Email<\/strong>. To sign in with Google, click the Google<\/strong> button.
        NOTE:<\/strong> To sign in with Google, your Gmail address must match the email address the invite email was sent to.<\/div> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        How to Change User Permissions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
          \n
        1. Click Teams<\/strong> in the Central main menu<\/span>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Click the action button next to the team you want to work with and choose Members<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click the three dots <\/strong>next to the user for whom you want to change permissions and choose Permissions<\/strong>.

        4. A modal will pop up where you can choose from 3 roles: Manager, Editor, or Member.

          \u2022 Manager<\/strong> \u2013 Has full admin rights on the team.
          \u2022 Editor<\/strong> \u2013 Cannot manage billing.
          \u2022 Member<\/strong> \u2013 Cannot publish new environments or manage billing.

        5. After choosing the new role, click the\u00a0Update<\/strong>\u00a0button. You will be<\/span> finished when you see a message stating \u201cPermissions Updated.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          How to Leave a Team<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          1. Log in to InMotion Central<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Click Teams<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Click the action button next to the team you want to leave and choose Leave Team<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. You will see an alert stating, \u201cYou will lose access to all clouds managed by this organization.<\/em>\u201d Click<\/span> the Leave Team<\/strong> button.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
