InMotion Hosting is rolling out the cPanel v134 upgrade<\/strong> across its Shared, WordPress, and Reseller hosting fleet starting July 14, 2026<\/strong>. The rollout replaces cPanel v126, which has reached end of life, and we will complete it in scheduled batches over nine days. Most customers will not notice any change: your website, email, and files continue to work exactly as they do today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s Changing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Shared, WordPress, and Reseller hosting plans run on cPanel’s Long-Term Support (LTS) tier, not the latest release. An LTS version receives security patches and bug fixes for an extended period. This lets InMotion apply updates on a predictable, tested schedule instead of chasing every new release.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cPanel v126 was InMotion’s current LTS version. It has now reached end of life and no longer receives security updates from cPanel. cPanel v134 is the next LTS version, and upgrading the fleet to it keeps your servers up to date with security patches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Note:<\/strong> Because Shared, WordPress, and Reseller hosting track the LTS tier, you will not receive every cPanel feature the moment cPanel releases it. The LTS tier trades the newest features for a longer, more stable support window.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What’s New in cPanel v134<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Because the fleet upgrades directly from v126 to v134, this upgrade also includes everything cPanel shipped in versions 128, 130, and 132. The items below are the changes that directly affect shared hosting customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dovecot updated to version 2.4<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

This upgrade updates Dovecot to version 2.4. Dovecot is the mail server software that handles Internet Message Access Protocol (IMAP) and Post Office Protocol (POP3) connections for your email accounts. This is a server-side change: your existing email accounts, passwords, and mail client settings (Outlook, Apple Mail, Thunderbird, or your phone’s mail app) continue to work without any changes on your end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sieve email filtering in Roundcube<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel added support for Sieve, a standard email filtering language, to Dovecot and Roundcube webmail. You can now create Sieve filters that sort and manage incoming email messages directly in Roundcube.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Site Publisher removed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel has removed the Site Publisher interface, the built-in tool for creating a simple placeholder or one-page site directly from cPanel. If you previously built a site with Site Publisher, it remains unaffected and stays online. The Site Publisher builder tool itself is no longer available in cPanel after the upgrade. If you relied on it to make quick edits, use WordPress<\/a> or the File Manager to manage your site going forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CloudLinux 10 support<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel v134 adds support for CloudLinux 10, the operating system InMotion Hosting uses to isolate accounts on shared servers. This is a platform-level update with no action required on your part.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SSL\/TLS Wizard enabled by default<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel now enables the SSL\/TLS Wizard by default. This tool lets you purchase and install a Secure Sockets Layer\/Transport Layer Security (SSL\/TLS) certificate directly in cPanel. Free AutoSSL certificates continue to install automatically on eligible domains, as they do today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Expanded Account Preferences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel moved several everyday settings into the Account Preferences<\/strong> interface, found in cPanel’s Preferences<\/strong> section. You can now change your cPanel display language, update your account password, and edit your contact information and notification preferences from that one page. The separate Change Language interface has been deprecated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PHP Composer removed from bundled software<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

cPanel no longer ships its own copy of PHP Composer, the dependency manager for PHP projects. If your projects rely on Composer, you can install it yourself within your hosting account, and any copy you already installed and manage yourself continues to work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

cPanel v134 Upgrade Schedule<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

InMotion is deploying the cPanel v134 upgrade in batches between July 14 and July 22, 2026. Upgrading a few groups of servers at a time limits risk and lets our teams confirm each batch before moving to the next. The exact timing for any individual server may shift as the rollout progresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What This Means for Your Hosting Account<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

You do not need to take any action. InMotion applies the cPanel v134 upgrade to your server automatically during the rollout window, and cPanel restarts a few services briefly during the upgrade. Your website, databases, and email keep running before, during, and after the upgrade, aside from that brief restart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Important:<\/strong> The one customer-facing change to plan around is the removal of Site Publisher. If you use that tool to edit a placeholder page, back up any text or images you want to reuse. Do this as soon as possible, since the builder interface will no longer be available once your server upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What You Need to Do<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For most customers, nothing. InMotion Hosting deploys the cPanel v134 upgrade during the July 14 to July 22 rollout window, and your server will be upgraded automatically. If you manage email through a desktop or mobile client, you do not need to change any settings, because your IMAP, POP3, and Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP) settings stay the same.
