Installing the Joomla Spanish language pack, or any other language for that matter, can help users navigate your website easily. It\u2019s an effective way to show customers you value their user experience and business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to Add Languages in Joomla 4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First, log into your Joomla 4 administrator dashboard (e.g. https:\/\/example.com\/administrator). Select System<\/strong> from the sidebar. Under Manage<\/em>, select Languages<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ll see your current language listed. To add more, select Install Languages<\/strong>. Select the \u201cInstall\u201d button for each language you need. Then you can select the \u201cSite\u201d drop-down menu to view languages installed for the administrator dashboard. Select the radio button to change the default language, depending on whether you\u2019re on the Site or Administrator menu. This does not affect users that have chosen a specific language on their profile or on the login page.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Content Languages<\/strong> are used when you configure a Joomla 4 multi-language site with the Language Filter plugin. All installed languages will be listed but disabled by default. Here you can set the language title, tag, URL code, and image.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Language Overrides<\/strong> change Joomla core text strings to another language. For example, let\u2019s say I want my English site to show \u201cwritten by\u201d in Arabic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Select the Select Language and Client<\/strong> drop-down menu and \u201cEnglish (United Kingdom) \u2013 Site.\u201d

  2. Select the New<\/strong> button at the top.<\/li>
  3. In the \u201cSearch text\u201d text field, type \u201cwritten by\u201d and press Enter<\/kbd>.<\/li>
  4. Select the best option from the search results below.\u00a0<\/li>
  5. This will update the \u201cLanguage Constant\u201d and \u201cText\u201d fields on the left. Update the text field as needed.<\/li>
  6. Select Save & Close<\/strong>.<\/li>
  7. If you\u2019re using Joomla caching, select Clear Cache<\/strong>. Then, check the webpage in a private browsing session.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n
