Changing the settings for an existing account is not immediately obvious as they are hidden in the Advanced section.\u00a0 Follow the steps below to find the incoming server settings and edit them as needed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>Log in to your iOS device and tap on <strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Tap on <strong>Mail<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select <strong>Accounts<\/strong>.<\/li><li>Select the account that you wish to edit. Some accounts may have more than one email address setup. It is important that you tap on done, because your changes <em>will not be saved<\/em> if you don\u2019t.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"outgoing\">Editing the Email Server Settings in iOS \u2013 Outgoing (SMTP)<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The outgoing server settings can often vary based on the email provider that you are using.\u00a0 It is not affected by the same email protocols in the incoming server settings.  The outgoing mail server uses SMTP (Simple Mail Transport Protocol). You may need to speak with your email provider if you are unsure of this setting.\u00a0 For InMotion Hosting customers, you can use this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.inmotionhosting.com\/support\/email\/how-to-find-email-settings\/\">guide<\/a> to help you find those settings.<br><\/li><li>When you have finished making your changes or adding the server, make sure to tap on <strong>Done<\/strong> in the top right corner.<\/li><li>You will then see the list of SMTP servers again. Make sure that only one SMTP server is set to ON.\u00a0 You might see more than one on, if you have multiple servers listed.\u00a0 Turn off the unnecessary SMTP server as needed.
