Any time someone is hired or changes position, you will have to make changes. This allows you to accurately track and manage their interactions with your company.\u00a0 Below we\u2019ll show you how to add new employees, then we\u2019ll walk you through modifying their role, department, and employment type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Adding Employees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>In your WordPress Dashboard click <strong>WPHR Manager<\/strong>, then the <strong>Employees<\/strong> link.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Add New<\/strong> button on top.<\/li><li>You can then upload an employee photo and fill in the employee information as needed. The required fields are: <strong>First Name<\/strong>, <strong>Last Name<\/strong>, <strong>Employee Type<\/strong> (such as full time, part-time, temporary, trainee), <strong>Date of Hire<\/strong>, <strong>Email address<\/strong>, <strong>Employee Status<\/strong> (such as active, terminated, etc).<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Create Employee<\/strong> button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Modifying Employees<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>Click <strong>WPHR Manager<\/strong> then <strong>Employees<\/strong> in your WordPress Dashboard.<\/li><li>You will see your employees listed. You can filter the list by Role, <em>Department<\/em>, or <em>Employee type<\/em> by clicking the dropdown menu on top then the <strong>Filter<\/strong> button.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>User<\/strong> you want to modify.<\/li><li>You can then make changes or update them as needed. There are more tabs on top available that provide additional options.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"leave\">Leave Management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are quite a few aspects to leave management that can be set up. They can all be accessed in the <strong>WPHR Leave<\/strong> section in your WordPress Dashboard. We\u2019ll show you how to configure them in this section. The employee self-service (ESS) <em>Attendance<\/em> add-on is also available but must be purchased through <a aria-label=\"WP-HR's shop (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/wphrmanager.com\/shop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WP-HR\u2019s shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating Leave Policies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>Under <em>WPHR Leave<\/em> click the <strong>Policies<\/strong> link.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Add New<\/strong> button.<\/li><li>You can then set up your leave policy as needed. Required fields are: <em>Policy Name<\/em>, <em>Calendar Color<\/em>, and <em>Days<\/em>. You can also enter a date <strong>Range<\/strong> and <strong>Description<\/strong> but they are optional.<\/li><li>Click the <strong>Create Holiday<\/strong> button.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Create Leave Entitlements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"article_list wp-block-list\"><li>Click <strong>Leave Entitlements<\/strong> under the <em>WPHR Leave<\/em> section.<\/li><li>You will see any existing employees along with the leave they are entitled to.
