Maybe you\u2019ve notified cPanel users to learn how to manage websites without Softaculous, and now you want to disable it shortly before discontinuing your subscription so you have the ability to assist users before its completely removed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Below we\u2019ll cover how to disable Softaculous in WebHost Manager (WHM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Disable Softaculous<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Log in to WHM<\/a> as root<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. On the left, select Softaculous \u2013 Instant Installer<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. On the left, select Settings<\/strong>, then General<\/strong>. <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. At the bottom of the page, under Disable Softaculous<\/em>, check the box to Turn Softaculous Off<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Add a Switch Off Subject<\/strong> and Switch Off Message<\/strong> to notify cPanel users of the issue and where to get support while Softaculous is disabled. Note that this message is only plain text. HTML doesn\u2019t work.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  6. Click Edit Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
