Revisions are saved in the database, which means if you have a lot of posts that go through multiple revisions, your database will fill up quickly. <\/p>\n

It is also worth noting that revisions can be disabled for custom post types. Be sure to check with your site administrators before relying completely on revisions. <\/p>\n

It would be unwise to rely completely on revisions as a method for securing content. You are best advised to keep regular backups<\/a> of your site files and database. <\/p>\n

How to View Revisions for a Post<\/h2>\n

It’s easy to take a look at the post revisions and see what was changed. <\/p>\n

  1. Log into the WordPress Dashboard<\/li>\n
  2. Select a page or post to edit<\/li>\n
  3. Look for Revisions<\/em> in the Publish<\/em> metabox (either on the right side or below the editor depending on your window size)<\/li>\n
  4. Click Browse<\/b> under Revisions<\/em> <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

Remember that the whole post is going to be replaced with its older version.
