How To Install MediaWiki with Softaculous<\/h2>\n
\n

\nThe Softaculous installation is by far the easiest way to install MediaWiki on your domain.\n<\/p>\n\n

  1. Log into your cPanel<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Under Software<\/em> select Softaculous Apps Installer<\/b><\/li>\n
  3. Search for “MediaWiki” or select it under Wikis<\/em><\/li>\n
  4. Click Install Now<\/b><\/li>\n
  5. Select the domain for the installation<\/li>\n
  6. Fill in the site configuration, admin, language, and other options as necessary (see chart below<\/a> for more information about options)<\/li>\n
  7. Click Install<\/b> at the bottom of the page when ready<\/li>\n<\/ol><\/div>\n\n

    Wiki name<\/td>\nThe actual name of your wiki, like “Wikipedia” for example<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Wiki email<\/td>\nThe desired email account for administrative purposes<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Admin username<\/td>\nThe username that the administrator uses to log in<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Admin password<\/td>\nThe password for the admin account<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Select language<\/td>\nChoose your desired language<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Uploads<\/td>\nWhether or not to enable file uploads to the site (can be updated later)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Database name<\/td>\nThe name of the database to be created, where all site data is stored<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Table prefix<\/td>\nA custom prefix applied to tables in the database (may be helpful to change this)<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Disable update notifications email<\/td>\nCheck to disable email notifications about available updates<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Auto upgrade<\/td>\nChoose your auto upgrade preference for new versions of the MediaWiki software<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Backup location<\/td>\nSelect a desirable location for automatic backups<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
    Automated backups<\/td>\nSelect whether or not you would like to run auto backups<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n\n
