When using Greylisting<\/a> on your Dedicated server<\/a> or VPS Hosting<\/a> server you can adjust settings such as the deferral period<\/em> and record expiration time<\/em>. Adjusting these settings based on your email users can help them receive valid emails and reduce the amount of spam they receive. Configure Greylisting Settings<\/h2>\n

  1. Log into WHM<\/a> as the ‘root<\/a><\/b>‘ user.\n

  2. Type ‘grey<\/b>‘ in the search field then click the Greylisting<\/b> link under Email<\/em>.\n

  3. Click the top button to toggle Greylisting On<\/b> or Off<\/b>.\n

    Initial Deferral Period (in minutes)<\/td>\nThis is how long the first email is deferred or put on hold.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Resend Acceptance Period (in minutes)<\/td>\nEnter the amount of time the sender has to re-send the email.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Record Expiration Time (in minutes)<\/td>\nAfter this time ends, the sender’s email address is forgotten and regarded as a new sender.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
    Bypass Greylisting for Hosts with Valid SPF Records<\/td>\nCheck this box to automatically allow senders with verified SPF records<\/a> to skip the greylisting.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
