SquirrelMail<\/a> is no longer included in cPanel by default. It reached its end of life in 2013. InMotion Hosting has disabled SquirrelMail<\/a> from Webmail but you can still install and use it for managing email. In this tutorial, we will show you how to install your own version of SquirrelMail using the Softaculous installer. This lets you utilize Squirrel mail as an IMAP client for sending and receiving email.<\/p>\n

**Note:<\/b> You will need your Secure SSL\/TLS email settings<\/a> to complete this guide, since you must enter them during the installation. This allows SquirrelMail to send and receive emails from your server.<\/div>\n

Installing SquirrelMail<\/h2>\n

  1. Log into your cPanel<\/a>.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  2. \"\"<\/a>Click the Softaculous Apps Installer<\/b> option in the Software<\/em> section.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  3. \"\"<\/a>Type \u2018squirrel\u2019 in the available search field. Click the SquirrelMail<\/b> option.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \"\"<\/a>You will see an overview of SquirrelMail along with a link to their support site. Click the Install Now<\/b> button.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  5. \"\"<\/a>Next to the Choose Protocol<\/em> option, select if you want your site to start with https:\/\/<\/b>, https:\/\/www.<\/b>, https:\/\/<\/b>, or https:\/\/www.<\/b>\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  6. \"\"<\/a>Click the drop-down menu next to Choose Domain<\/b> and select the one you want to install it on.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  7. \"\"<\/a>For the \u201cIn Directory<\/b>\u201d option, enter a folder name if you want to use one. For example, if you enter \u201csquirrel\u201d you would access SquirrelMail at: example.com\/squirrel\n

  8. \"\"<\/a>Enter a name for your SquirrelMail site in the next field.\n
    <\/div>\n<\/li>\n
  9. \"\"<\/a>In the IMAP Settings<\/em> section enter your Secure SSL\/TLS<\/em> settings and check the box for TLS\/SSL<\/b>.\n

  10. \"\"<\/a>In the SMTP Settings<\/em> section enter your Secure SSL\/TLS<\/em> settings and check the box for TLS\/SSL<\/b>.\n

  12. \"\"<\/a>You are finished when you see a message stating \u201cCongratulations, the software was installed successfully<\/em>.\u201d Click the provided link to access your new SquirrelMail installation.\n
