Servers running cPanel come with their custom software, EasyApache<\/strong>, which controls the PHP<\/em> and Apache<\/em> configurations. If you need to change PHP settings and you are running EasyApache 3<\/strong> (EA3 <\/em>which is now obsolete<\/a>), you may directly modify the php.ini<\/i> file<\/a> to change them. However, if you are running EasyApache 4<\/strong> (EA4<\/em>), direct changes to the php.ini<\/i> file are not recommended. This is due to the fact that EA4 now includes a MultiPHP INI Editor for cPanel<\/a> and WHM<\/a>. This plugin allows you to modify the settings for PHP through the cPanel\/WHM interface and will not function properly if changes are made to the php.ini<\/i> file manually.
